This is a plee from all the adult, grown up, mature users of the forum who want a place to discuss things without being randomly smacked/trolled/flamed by some random unknown alt, this pandemic is out of control and is now becoming a FotM for quite alot of new users to my propose a change of strategy... For alt trolling/flaming/smacking with useless no use to the thread apart from derailing it ban them for a week, if they persist ban them again... and continue to ban them for it... screw the warning system, just give them a ban for a few days. They will hopefully eventually stop... hopefully, or just blanket ban goons (lol)... Aneu ps: yes im bored ________________ REVIVAL

If you require a skill training to be marked as main, then alt-accounts still slide. If you require the poster to be in a PC corp, then forum-corp alts still slide (While main mission ***s get marked as alts). Really, the only solution is just to try to choke back the tears, somehow, someway, and cope with not knowing whether it's someone's real fake identity posting in your thread, or their fake fake identity. Well thats the problem, we have a large amount of users in a single alliance who have admited to wanting to run this game into the ground... its quite difficult to combat said users without enforcing some general rules... I'm new so I don't know which one it is Its not as if its a secret - Goonswarm have created alot of the problems on this forum. They have admited to wanting to destroy peoples gameplay and have (with the kugutsumen incident) said they will destroy this game... I hope CCP are reinforcing their procedures against certain attacks from the goons, threadnaughts anyone? Quite simply enforce stringent rules on these forums and send them packing because quite simply they are annoying the hell out of alot of people - not to target a single group ofcorse. If you ban them, the 'main' just makes more. i.e. Alts cannot truly be banned. well generally people use alts on their main account meaning all 3 of their characters are banned... if they use an alternate account then thats one account down - if they continue their other account gets banned too... although i can see your point, an additional feature needs to be added to see which character is a main... ________________ REVIVAL

I have seen movies on youtube of them recruiting and such. Also a presentation on fanfest Goonfleet presentation a while back. I can't imagine that people who are that active in the game, and in no doubt must like to play also, want to destroy it. I'll be honest here, I have about 4 different forum post characters, and I post with all 4 depending on circumstance. Some are known traders, some are known in ships and modules or on the pve side, some are known on the pvp side. They may be "alts", but for the most part, each one serves a "main" function, and is better able to post on the forums with the experience and function that they were created for. I'm sure more than one person may be on the same boat. Many times, if I were to use a different character for a specific post, calls of "STFU you don't know what you are talking about" and "use your main" or "you don't even do X Y or Z so why are you posting" get made, and unfortunately, having a "forum main" or "alt" or what have you designation would actually take away from serious posts in those cases. Yes, we have to deal with lame trolling / posting / kiddie behavior, but after a while you just get used to ignoring the kiddies anyway. Im not saying that alts shouldnt be allowed to post, my aim is to have 'mains' designated and all other characters on the account do not go through the 'warning' processes they just get banned outright for breaking any rule... whereas the 'main' gets a warning etc... It would curb alot of the problems on the forums imo. ________________ REVIVAL

People like posting, Tabula Rasa also has a very mature community (WoW should be destroyed imo) - EvE its known as the black sheep of the entire lot, these forums are worse than WoWs and thats saying something!
